absolutely dreadfull stay. The room could´ve been a tad cleaner, with spider webs galore. i mean, really? ! i also didn’t receive a warm welcome gift, woudl ve been nice. it’s despicable to be treated like any common guest! at least the drive to durham was decent, but i just couldn’t overlook these travesties.

pleasant stay,, but minor cleanliness concern
The warm welcome from the hosts set a delightful tone for the visit. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring locally sourced ingredients and homemade jams that made every meal a treat. I particularly enjoyed the charming garden view, which added to the overall experience.
There were a few cobwebs present that could be addressed during cleaning.

The stay was pleasant with a cozy room and a comfortable bed, which was great after a long day. Breakfast featured generous servings and homemade jams, adding a lovely local touch. there were issues with the breakfast temperature being lukewarm on both mornings, and the communication from the host sometimes felt more scolding than welcoming. it’s good for a relaxing getaway.

The homemade rhubarb served at breakfast was a delightful touch, showcasing local produce.
While the location is convenient for visiting Durham, the immediate surroundings lack scenic walking options.

I really enjoyed my stay with lovely touches like fresh flowers in my room and a cozy lounge for unwinding after a long day. The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring homemade jams and generous servings, and it was nice to watch the birds at the feeder while I ate. Just a heads up, there were a few cobwebs that could be addressed during cleaning, but it didn't take away from the overall experience! 😊

Super comfy stay with fab views!
We stayed for 3 nights and loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The bed was super comfy, which was a lifesaver after long days exploring. Jill and Rupert were so helpful and shared great local tips. Breakfast blew my mind—homemade jams were a nice touch! Just a small thing, the wifi was a bit spotty.
